But "Bruno".... well, Bruno is more a slice-of-life, often with subdued humor, or just a bit of wit or sarcasm, and sometimes even without. I guess the Bruno strip is about the characters and situations first with the humour acting in a subservient way to that. I tend to approach my own strips and cartoons a little less complicatedly. :) I understand. The effect I think i was going for is that this is ongoing, that everything her parents say makes her want to escape back to school. By putting her line first, I think it makes their comments feel more like a continual thing than a specific thing she's reacting to. Perhaps. I definitely see your point.
