I haven&#039;t heard it used to refer to a collection of reference images, but anything&#039;s possible. (Actually, no it&#039;s not, but many things are, including this - as far as I know.)</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve read descriptions by a few cartoonists of the fact that they keep filing cabinets full of photo reference material for this purpose.  The last such time I read about someone doing that was a few years ago, though - who knows if anyone still uses those files.</description>
