Amateurs. My high school best friend and I solved all the world's problems on a 2.5 day drive in a moving truck full of my aunt's belongings from Portland to Wichita, KS.

Well now I wander through the wilderness, looking for places that spark my interest and shoving my oar in once in awhile. "Bruno" qualifies, IMHO.

My group, now in its 38th year, is down to four, when we once were as much as twelve. It's a sad thing to see the attrition, regardless of cause, and worse to wonder when the last three, or two, or one decides to pack it in and do something else with their time. Not something you want to see, or plan for. And what could your plans be?

For 15 years I exchanged ideas and butted heads with some of the brightest and most educated people I have ever met, on a forum that nobody remembered what it was originally created for. One by one they left, either by death or some other incapacity, until the whole thing faded away. It's a wonder that there are any problems left in the world today, considering how many we solved.
