According to 7/14/10, Jay has a girlfriend “of whom [he is] sleeping with,” so I think the joke’s on Bruno.

Which reminds me of a joke from one of Dr. Isaac Asimov’s anecdote/joke collections, albeit NOT word for word:

Allegedly, Dr. A was discussing his recent divorce with a Catholic friend. When the latter mentioned his own divorce, Dr. A asked him how he was able to get a divorce as a Cathollic.

“Oh, there’s a loophole. I’m a BAD Catholic.”

@Brian, I should have made him Christian rather than Catholic, and avoided mentioning the sect. This would have allowed me a wide range without worrying about details. But yes, doctrine and acceptance in any group are often varied things.

@Ronald, lol! Yeah, it’s was tough choices sometimes doing a strip with one picture and many baloons, how to do it in a way which conveyed the intended speaker. I think I got better as I went along. :)

I don’t _think_ there is anything in Catholic doctrine that prohibits sex toys. Not sure how to bring that up to the priest.
