I'm curious to see if that aspect ever gets explored in the comic? Both are acts of exposure that paradoxically conceal. Baring her body is a shield for Bruno's soul, even if she doesn't acknowledge it. Going out with friends is a social act that is a shield for intense spiritual and emotional isolation. Sticking your tongue out at the teacher while her back is turned. There's a frisson of danger here, in all these instances. Danger is a very effective counter to the deadening of depression and social isolation, if, of course, hazardous.
