If capitalism is about making money to win the game, how come corporations don't tell people the score?

Fortunately the internet has made this shell-game a loser for the old-style managers. You can now find what you should be making in your region, state and city, and make your own decisions about whether it's time to jump ship or not. Because, you know, half the time (or more) they tell you to keep your salary quiet, it's because they don't want you finding out how badly you're being short-changed.

Unless you're a schmoe or a minority with no appreciable computer skills. Then the sound that you hear is your spine being ground into the pavement by your employer's iron heel.
