Bruno herself will choose to stay because Stanley trusted her and she'd be too stubborn to leave, mental health and relationship troubles aside. If hell is inevitable, she'll eventually choose to face it. Also, with Katalin being a child, I think you'd get in trouble with the law for abandoning a child (teenager) alone as the only adult supervision/caregiver remaining in the household...?
