It's worse when you're only sitting them, and have no legal authority to be other than nice and polite to them. Appearing stoic is the only acceptable conduct. Which is also going to be unappreciated. It might take years for such a child to realize what a pill she was. And that day may never come if being a pill works out for her in school, with her significant other, with her workplace... How sharper than the serpent’s tooth is the ungrateful child.
