		<description>I think it&#039;s the opposite.  It&#039;s that Amy can see that she&#039;s putting too many expectations (some of them unfair) on Bruno.  If Amy lets Bruno leave without choosing to somehow, it gives Bruno an out for her (subjective) feelings of being trapped.   Maybe Bruno won&#039;t have to feel so guilty about *wanting* to leave while actually staying.

It&#039;s... complicated.  I&#039;m not sure Amy&#039;s in the right here, but maybe it&#039;s a test.  If Bruno gets what she wants in a sort of &quot;accident&quot; (leaving in an attempt to feel happier), then Bruno can test out her feelings once she&#039;s left without the mess of feeling like she&#039;s &quot;abandoned&quot; Amy.  Amy giving her explicit consent was an essential part of this, to defuse Bruno&#039;s &quot;abandonment&quot; guilt.</description>
