The latter has been discredited, for which we should be grateful, but not the former, mainly because we have no other therapeutic tool to &#039;reset&#039; a person&#039;s thought processes to neutral.

I&#039;d like to think we all have the capability to use our own intellectual powers to achieve the same thing, but it&#039;s difficult to do enmeshed as we are in the problems, real and imagined, that caused us to seek help in the first place. Or caused someone else to try to help, as in Bruno&#039;s case. We are all more complex than we give ourselves credit for being.</description>
