I can understand him wanting to at least talk with her. Bruno doesn't seem very upset that her suicide attempt has been foiled. For someone who had to carry that cinderblock all that way, she doesn't seem to have really had her heart in it. The only kind of guy who would hit on a woman he just pulled out of the water after a suicide attempt is, well, the kind of guy that woman wouldn't want to date.
