I read it IMMEDIATELY after I&#8217;d read A Confederacy of Dunces, and as a result, I kinda&#8217; visualized Raskolnikov as a silly Ignatius/Falstaffian character. 
Which&#8230; well, kinda&#8217; changed the tone of the book for me.
