Are all guys interested in sex? Probably. As if most women aren't too. Is that all they are interested in? Sometimes. Maybe a lot. But speaking as a guy who has had plenty of lonely times, I know that simple female companionship, especially with someone as bright as Bruno, would be a blessing. I have been rebuffed gently and with kindness often, at least as often as I have been as brutally as Bruno does when she doesn't take a shine to the guy, or isn't in serious need at the moment. Damn the boorish cretins who poison the well for good men, and damn the soul-destroying women who delight in crushing them.
