This strip somewhat comes out of my repeated amazement at jobs to hear people complain about their duties because “they don’t want to.” I always feel that I’ve sold my soul for a few pennies and have no right to complain, so I just frikkin’ do it.
Which is why it was such a relief to become a full-time cartoonist, and why it’s so frustrating that I may have to rejoin the work-force in the next few months. Ah well.
This might make sense if Hood ice-cream sandwiches were only available by home-delivery, otherwise I don’t quite get it.
Funny, I got beyond the “I don’t wanna” stage long before I entered the workforce.
When the parental unit says, “I don’t care if you want to. DO IT!” you go ahead and do it. Eventually you get in the habit of doing what needs to be done.
