I always felt sorry for Susan here, because she thinks Bruno is simply going to throw the cinderblock through a window or something, and if Bruno had actually died, Susan would have never let herself live it down.
On the flip side, I always laugh when I see the bookcase in the background with the missing cinderblock.
If you take his comment more generally, along the lines that we’re all reaching towards the thing which brings us joy and life, it’s actually a rather nice sentiment.
I can imagine little worse for Bruno than to be hit on when she’s ready to jump off a bridge. I was a mean writer sometimes, which also made me laugh.
This strip was lots of fun to write. It is the perfect romantic moment, but Bruno, she’s just that kind of girl. :)
You know, I totally sympathize with this guy. But on the other hand, i totally sympathize with Bruno here. Which is probably why I’m the author, it’s just that kind of strip. :)
I simply like Randall. What can I say.
This strip was based on an experience I had when accidentally dunked underwater at the wrong time. Breathing in water was very peculiar and not something I have ever forgot.
