A big part of daily comic writing is to write kids with adult attributes, and adults with kid attributes (the irony creates the humor). In this case it’s a trait I find terribly endearing, when a child asks an adult if the adult will be alright, to help bolster their own confidence.
Also, Francois? Really? What a funny stereotype to play on. :)
