Of course, in her defense, I imagine his protestations (despite her clarity) were persistent, which can be rather inconsiderate too.

Sometimes you have to pity people acting like assholes because, upon reflection, it’s likely pure obliviousness. (Oh, and enough years have passed in the strip, that Joe actually DID appear before, just click on the Joe “tag” to see)
