I liked the ridiculous idea that you could get lost in the Minneapolis skyways and end up in the St Paul skyways. I also had a good time wandering the skyways and drawing and taking pictures for these backgrounds. :)
The label was inspired by the Pig’s Eye Brewing Company, although they make beer, not “hard liquor.” I was amused by the story of the company, “named after Piere “Pig’s Eye” Parrant, a probably French-Canadian man who became the first resident of Saint Paul and operated a tavern out of Fountain Cave near what is now downtown.”*
The breakfast is inspired because drinking makes me hungry for greasy food.

The music is the replacements “I don’t Know” off of “Pleased to Meet Me.”
And I remember going to a number of dances like this when I was that age, even enjoying the “mosh pit” from time to time. Why not now? I’m not sure, although my bad knee is my best excuse. ;)
The punchline is all good, clever and all that, but the real sentiment I think i wanted to get across was this. I don’t drink a lot, largely because I don’t have the time to drink nor to recover. But sometimes I need to. I need to just stop being responsible for a moment and watch the stars get blurry.
if you pick up a comically confused character and save them from their loops of madness, you should always return them to where they were. No point spoiling the fun.
I think glamor is largely defined by what our dreams are. If so, apparently Bruno had slightly different dreams than Frankie.
