Funny how when someone ruins something, if they step in and save it it’s easy to forgive them when it was their fault to begin with.

I used to find this true, that if I forgot I was an outcast, i wouldn’t feel like one, and people seemed much more accepting.

That is Peter Zale of “Helen, Sweetheart of the Internet” fame. We became friends when the internet was new and we were two of the few people online doing webcomics back in 1996. A great guy, and we still keep in touch.
