I always felt sorry for Susan here, because she thinks Bruno is simply going to throw the cinderblock through a window or something, and if Bruno had actually died, Susan would have never let herself live it down.
On the flip side, I always laugh when I see the bookcase in the background with the missing cinderblock.
…….oh god. Can you believe I never noticed it was THAT cinderblock? Now I’m giggling helplessly too.
One of my favorite scenes in “The Full Monty:”
Despondent man attempting to commit suicide by running car exhaust into his car – but can’t get the car started.
The two talking friends help him get car started, then walk away still oblivious to what was going on.
Just as I’m thinking “Wha-?” one of the friends gets a clue and runs back to save the man in the car.
Both of your comments are awesome. :)
Bruno’s sudden decision here seems way, way, way out of left field, which I suppose was in fact the point.
“Sudden” decision? Bruno’s been thinking about this ever since Donna broke up with her. Or did you not notice all of her ‘throwing herself off a bridge’ thoughts?
