I simply like Randall. What can I say.
This strip was based on an experience I had when accidentally dunked underwater at the wrong time. Breathing in water was very peculiar and not something I have ever forgot.

Randall has always been one of my favorite characters too. Such a nice guy even when he isn’t stoned. I think I’d like to know somebody like him.
So, anyone who advises people on comics will tell you not to make your word bubbles confusing and overlapping and all over each other,
and yet you’ve made it a part of the Bruno look and style.
I wouldn’t have it any other way. Keep it up. Way to innovate.
@BradyDale, some of that was inspired by the comics strip “Sylvia” which influenced me a lot at the time and was often single paneled. But yeah, much of it was because I was ornery. Another similar thing, my art teach in high school said the thing that made ink drawing artistic really was the variable line weight, and so I plowed on ahead purposely without it.
I now have few confusing word balloons, and DO use variable line weight, but learning how to do them both the other way taught me a lot, and I liked how it felt new and fresh and unique striding into this uncharted territory. :)
