I...can't think of another example of the kind of unwritten rules I'm talking about other than the one about breakups, though. And I only remember that one from an episode of "Seinfeld." I personally (and, as noted, cluelessly) thought that was...well, just plain creepy and wrong, but maybe I'm underestimating the extent to which it's presumed by some women that men aren't nearly as capable of loving children as women are. Or whatever the heck the underlying premise is. I just honestly really don't know. I've never been in a position for this sort of thing to affect my life and I don't anticipate that changing.
