The Whately Diner, as it was known, had trucker showers, and is likely the source of much of the inspiration for where Anise works.
This kind of dismissive banter does feed Bruno’s likes pretty well.
Snort. She is a brutal gal isn’t she. You know, I started doing a spin-off comic based on her and her diner, space and time traveling, but I only did a few strips before I decided it wasn’t going anywhere and stopped. Not sure if I even shared it.

It’s nice when a good friend knows your needs more than you and doesn’t mince words.
Moving really does make one think about one’s pets. A lot of pets (cats more than dogs, I believe) get really quite distressed by moving home. But… they don’t have to find a way to buy the cat food I suppose. :)
You ever get that feeling? Things keep working out TOO well? Makes me suspicious. :)
It’s amazing how much people can make you feel buoyant or poisoned.
I am fortunate enough to be very good at tuning out idiotic remarks. Although sometimes I wonder what i’m missing. :)
I am now in a relationship with a Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry. I wonder what i would have written if I’d had her to consult. hmmm.
Sometimes I realize how much of a gift it is to be able to act and thing rationally. What a strange world we live in.
