Small towns, everyone knows each other. But it’s good too, I like that Wendy is watching out for him.
I think this is one of the sweetest moments of Dan so far. I love writing something that i can come back to and go “awwww.”
Of course, it’s sweetness amongst the wreckage of the “Bruno” family dynamics. ;-)
Sometimes you have to pity people acting like assholes because, upon reflection, it’s likely pure obliviousness. (Oh, and enough years have passed in the strip, that Joe actually DID appear before, just click on the Joe “tag” to see)
I played soccer from early childhood on up through high school. I was very good and effective at the legal slide tackle.
I didn’t like “Grand Canyon.”
There was a great quote I heard recently, although I forgot where. If your girlfriend/wife doesn’t do what you say, then you’ve found a keeper. Hrm. I think the original quote was better. Ah well.
When I wrote this I was already getting ready for the move west, knowing what I’d be doing to Dan.
Also, Cat’s description of the west coast somewhat fit my misconception of western cities in the North like Portland, where I’d be moving.
If only it worked that way!
Although, truthfully, I love working when it’s something I love. So, when comics are made up of 1% of the time being flashes of brilliant ideas, and 99% of the time editing and drawing, I smile.
