It was fun writing her indignant response while also wanting to do it myself.
How horrible to have a vision of how brave you COULD be and not feel you could live up to it.
I’d like to think I remember falling off the bed while making out with someone in my way distant past. But I can’t be sure it was just a cinematic fantasy or reality.

Ah… when I wrote this and living in Portland, I was still missing “home.”
Doctors and nurses talk like this to me, and I miss half of what they say because I’m trying to parse the language and am caught up on confusing phrases they actually used, and then they’re on to new subjects before I get a chance to cut in. Kinda like hanging out in bars.
This was the long game set-up of bringing Bruno to Europe. Even though I had already returned, I took a BOATLOAD of reference photos while there to prepare.
