I often wonder if parents are able to stand back when they see their child act in ways they disapprove and say, oh right, that fits into the philosophy I taught them.
Oh, and don’t forget, this is mid-June they are going swimming in New England. Still pretty damn cold in the water.
I actually find a certain level of escapism is great, to quiet my mind from going in unhealthy circles, but not to escape my life. I only got one life, and I’m a big advocate of appreciating it.
I guess I had a good mom, where I just have this gut feeling that mom’s are mom’s to the whole world when a mom is needed.
I find it always feels refreshing when you’re in a rut to step out of your life for a bit. Gives perspective.

It’s good to have friends who can just jump on board with ludicrous plans, and actually do so. Although they may have to borrow your couch a lot.
