I think it’s a terrible feeling that nobody out there has any interest in your life. Not in a “celebrity” way, that’s no fun. But our lives can so easily become predictable and isolating.
There is value in that as well, but what part of life is not many-faceted.
Actually, libraries have plenty of “sports” and “babes.”
Although they tend to have other things as well.
Bruno and Lenny’s dry patter was always a delight to write. I was very pleased with this strip in particular because everything all of them say has implications and insight into character and situation. Oh, and I find it funny. :)
It’s an awful thing to worry about sounding trite. Not that one shouldn’t put some effort and though into how they speak, but worrying is silly and counter-productive. Unless your goal is to be miserable. :)
And I will be at the science fiction convention “Norwescon†in the Dealers Room all weekend (Thur-Sun), in Seatac WA, so stop by! (sadly, no Book #2 yet, I won’t have it for another couple weeks). And on Thursday and Saturday go-to-guy/author/madman Daniel Wolff will be at my table too! The hours are Thursday 4-8, Friday 11-6, Saturday 11-6, and Sunday 11-4.
I think this sums up how I romantically look at traveling, and how it ends up looking in reality.
