I find it inevitable on car trips for me to at some point take my shoes off and rest my feet on the inside of the windshield like Bruno is doing.
Let’s just pray I’m never doing during a car accident. ;-)
I miss days when gas was cheap and I hadn’t really felt as strongly about leaving as small a footstep as possible and I could just drive around getting lost for fun. I really loved that.
By the way, I also do the humorous epic sci-fi adventure webcomic “Spacetrawler,” for which I’m running a Kickstarter Campaign to print book 2. Please help if you can! :)
It’s been a good long while since I felt that nervous tension in a car. I have fond memories though.
Ah, all too often I’ve wanted to just walk off into the wilderness. Half the time due to other’s actions, and the other half through my own.
I’ve driven across country a few times, and it always amazes me to pass through such long sections where there is seemingly nothing. Perhaps my fears, which lay along the lines of this strip, are less likely to be true than the reality.
Sometimes the only way to really find your identity is to untie yourself from all those who have expectations from you.
Maybe not the best way, but sometimes the only way.
