I actually like dentists. Yes, it can hurt, but then it’s over. So, I’m pretty at peace with the whole process, and greatly respect the practitioners.
It is way too easy to avoid unpleasant things. Even when you’re kicking the can down the hill where it will become a much bigger can.
I like “appetizer sized hats” as a description of yarmulkes. I think it’s childlike (and hopefully not offensive).
Actually, if i recall, when the strip first ran, someone pointed out (correctly) that they were Internment camps, not concentration camps. But I decided not to change it. I think it’s simply using a more PC word. Cocnentration camps are “a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities,” which from all i read is accurate. It is true, part of the definition is, “sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution.” They weren’t held for mass executions like in Germany, although I am unsure of the forced labor issue.
Anyhow. Doesn’t matter. Bruno called it that, and she is not always 100% accurate.
Sometimes it’s luck, and sometimes I find it’s all about the letting go. And sometimes, like with Sara here, you’ve let go and it’s still not raining.
I remember returning to Portland after traveling to Europe. I felt pretty potent too. Despite the next year proving to be a very difficult one.
