I have so many claw marks in my legs and chest and arms from our cats. Ah, but they are awfully cute.

I’d forgotten about that map of Portland. I bought it right after moving to town and kept it up all the years I lived there.
Rules, by their very nature, do not apply to cats. :)
When you’re looking for it, the most depressing things can become very apt analogies.
I remember first hearing the second half of that expression, and being utterly tickled by it. :)
We currently have a cupboard full of canned wet cat food, which we are not feeding our cats. I think if they knew that, they’d slit our throats while we slept.
It’s so weird. I remember that little nook in the first house I lived in in Portland. :)
I Â had a tough time adjusting when I moved west. Feeling my stupidity was cutting me off from everything, and self-medicating with sweets. I’m so glad I had this venue to explore it, normalize it maybe, and I’m so glad I’ve made it mostly through, mostly intact.
Well, there IS a fine distinction.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell if Cat is being snarky, or simply delivering the sad truth. I guess that’s similar to the fine line between pessimism and being realistic.
