When writing Matthew, I imagine someone so far outside of society’s norms might believe that publishers only push drivel. Perhaps as a conspiracy.
So… years later, I was on a sailboat in Washington. It was owned by a friend of a friend. And I was talking with the boat owner, and come to find out he was a psychiatrist FROM the Northampton area. And i said something like, “ah, wasn’t it horrible what they did about the hospital, etc etc.” Come to find out, he was the man who made the DECISION to shut it down. Oops! Awkward!
Ahhhh…. small world. :)
It will never sit right with me that we don’t take care of our homeless. NOBODY should be homeless in this day and age. Makes me so angry and sad.
Thankfully word processing software fixes everything for me.
And I’ll keep saying that and pretending its true.
Dana and Samantha always delighted me so much to write. I’ve kept in mind doing spin-offs based on them, even in fictitious other worlds. But how know. Not on the top of piles of things to do today. :)
Oh, and “Artists Repertory Theatre” if you’re curious.
I was already living in Portland when I wrote this, and so i was already in love with it and had definite plans for moving Bruno there. It made writing strips like this easy-peasy.
It’s fun for me re-running these strips, because I don’t remember if they searched for a place together or not. I can’t wait to read and see! :)
