Yeah, when out of the dating scene for a while, you start grabbing at threads. “Is this the right person” to someone you barely know and you don’t even HAVE anything romantic with yet.
The few times I’ve bumped into therapists, it’s been difficult to know how to act because therapy is a one-sided thing in so many ways. unlike a friendship. Even IF there is genuine care.
My brother writes/performs/records music (when he’s not being a mathematician), and he turned me onto Nancarrow. I mean, to listen and enjoy and then never listen to again.
but (if I recall correctly) he did just this, had some recordings where various parts of the music were at different patterns, but occasionally they’d all line up.
So, what does one do in such circumstances, when one sees little other option? I have no good answers. Keep striving I guess, and trying to keep your chin up.
