I did a lot of that when I first moved to Portland, just didn’t go out and wondered how to begin.
Ah, remember when Slash-Dot used to be a thing? I wonder if it still is.
Another feeling I remember well of moving far from the home-area for the first time, constantly thinking romantically about how great it was back where I was from. Partly it’s a “don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone,” but it’s also partially a defense mechanism to avoid engaging where you are now.
These are pretty core survival techniques when hanging out as the only fellow among a group of women. But also, very simple techniques as well.
Ha! I’d forgotten about the word “napiform.” Meaning “turnip-like.”
I have so many claw marks in my legs and chest and arms from our cats. Ah, but they are awfully cute.
People who over-think and people who don’t. And those two great continents never touched.
If I recall, the kids were my favorite part of that movie.
