Slashdot is still a thing and still kicking (CmdrTaco got married in the mean time bat that’s probably it).
But I’ve not heard the term slashdotted in years anymore. Seems, most hosting sites are now up to the task when they are hit :)
Unless you’re DDoSed, in which case your cloud is likely hosed, too.

Hard copy is good too. That is why I still read original 300 year old books. A Kindle can’t give you the same experience.
The very month you posted this, a game developer got slashdotted, and then proceeded to claim it was a DDoS by another game dev. Very weird…
