I really need to watch this again. Patrice Leconte and Daniel Auteuil are both so good (when they are).
I loved “Dancer In The Dark,” even the handheld camera work. but large screen, front row, WAS a bit much.
I admit that i was a little bit underwhelmed when i saw Jeanette Winterson speak. And I know that authors have their prepared speeches and do their best and probably wish they were at home with a cup of cocao and their cats. But it seemed a little flat (and I’m a big fan of her work)
And was annoyed that “open seating” meant “open anywhere past row 572.” So much for me showing up two hours early to get front row.
I love both Nausicaa the book and the movie. Miyazaki is so brilliant.
I am still a bit upset that Gore threw in the towel.
It is hard to imagine explaining a friendship like Bruno and Jay’s, and still come across as rational.
This strip really captures something, something that’s had to put into words.
Spinning wheels are the worst.
And wanting escape and comfort at the same time.
Yeah, I’ve had moments of trying, because I care, and it flopping because I don’t have it in me.
