As a writer of serial stories, I found sometimes when in a rut it helped to bring a big changer in so everyone in the story would have to deal with it. With Little Dee, it was a minivan full of penguins.

It’s easy to not realize that everyone else who knows Bruno, knows that too. ;-)
Over the years I really enjoyed expanding Susan’s character. She’s not a dynamic wild nutty person like most of the lot, but she’s sweet and interesting and I always liked her.
The best thing about criteria is that it can be as random as the person making it up.
I think this strips sums up a lot of Bruno and Susan, in how that think of life.
This is my brain on the dance floor. I’m not sure if it’s still that, it’s been too long. But I think I learned to quiet it more. Strange.
For all awkward people in the world: may we all have a Susan there watching out for us.
Like anything, extremes are where you get in trouble. Sometimes for good, but sometimes for ruin.
I used to draw a lot of models back then. It felt right to pass on that activity to Susan.
I have great sympathy for those who shoot themselves in the foot even when they see themselves doing it. What happens inside all of us is complex.
