“Enemies” isn’t quite it. But someone who pushes and challenges you, in a way that makes you laugh. I think that’s a good thing. Still do.

Making things up as you go along is a good analogy for my writing for Bruno. “Freewriting” they call it, to make it sound more professional than “Oh My God, I have to write this bit before the deadline in an hour!”
So, since I was sending Bruno on a road-trip, I figured I could introduce a bunch of characters int he cast, and basically keep around the ones I really liked. And it worked pretty well. :)
I’m not sure if I’d find a wake-up call like that comforting or an unfortunate reminder of my situation before I’d waken enough to remember it.
Funny how when someone ruins something, if they step in and save it it’s easy to forgive them when it was their fault to begin with.

it is an amazing drive in Shenandoah National Park, actually built as part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) project during the Great Depression, but who knows if the car companies were lobbying for it. Probably.

Pleading ignorance is sometimes the safest path. I have no idea if I intended that he ACTUALLY forgot or not, nor do I know if he knew.
I sometimes have thrashing dreams, and sometime yell myself awake. But more usually when I overheat than when I have heavy stuff on my mind.
