Yeah, Bruno, we both grew up in Greenfield. Not only was it a dump then, but now it's been getting so bad with the spill-over of scum from Springfield and Holyoke.
Yes, Phillip, I hear Greenfield has had some recent gang problems and increased violence.
Oh well... at least WE got out, Bruno. you went to college and I live in South Deerfield, and at least THAT town has something going for it.
South Deerfield? What does it have going for it?
Oh that! That's simple... no welfare office. Those lazy bums would have to get up off their asses in order to get their greasy little hands on their checks.
Phillip?
Why the hell should WE hoof the bill for their laziness anyhow?
Phillip? If I were you, I'd be protecting my genital area right about now.

I used to argue with people like this a lot more, now I find the prospect so… exhausting. Is that what happens to us in our 30s?
Tired of banging our heads against negative brick walls not making a difference? Yeah. Some, for sure. But when it counts, we still try to step up.
For me, now I try to be happy and focus and contributing positive things to the world. In the end, it seems much more effective on both counts.
bad auto accident, laid up for 10 months. took 2 months to get through the red tape to get welfare. good thing i had friends that let me stay with them till i was literally back on my feet.
