So true! He probably would have simply made more jokes about the size of one’s staff. ;-)
I was confused by this strip, because she seemed so calm and collected during the event. It seemed odd that she would be vomiting after the fact.
As an imperfect analogy, I’m guessing it’s sort of like when a cop or a doctor has to deal with something particularly gruesome. At the time she wasn’t allowing herself to react. Afterwards, she did.
Or maybe it’s like how, ideally, you should remain perfectly calm and collected when encountering a bear or a mountain lion OSLT so the animal will, ideally, ignore you. After the animal departs and you don’t NEED to be calm and collected any more, well…
