Sorry to be pedantic, but don’t you mean “flirting,” the noun? Flirt is a verb.
I can’t tell where it started, but it seems fashionable these days to make verbs into nouns and vice versa. What’s the purpose, when we already have perfectly good words with the meaning we need? It just confuses people trying to learn English.
