Kindness can also be a lever, and it can easily be as not-nice as mocking the hostile but needful. You can do worse than kill with kindness. You can maim, dismember, scorch black, and leave lasting scars that will make their nerves sing like cello strings when you choose to strum them. Oh, yes.
