   Truth! Your hands are busy for 8 hours, and your brain is free to go interesting places.

   My friends think I am joking when I say some of my deepest thoughts on God and the Universe came while stocking shelves in a hardware store.

   In my wayward youth, I had many such jobs. In the realm of moving boxes, I found that no matter how fast you moved them, the boss wanted you to move them faster. There was a constant threat of firing because there were always more people ready to take your job. I hear even worse from the front these days. Not much time for philosophy.

   And Heaven help you if you don’t log them in or out properly. I still wake up screaming sometimes.
