On a side note, have you suffered depression in your life? My life has been hard, and at times very depressing, but I can say with assurance I have never been clinically depressed, only situationally depressed.
I’m reading Bruno because the snarky cynicism of the series matches my outlook. I have a very dim view of humanity in general, yet I am in awe of the sparks of light that have graced our existence from time to time. I only wish I was ever bright and quick enough to respond to boors and bores as well as your characters do.
