I do find that catching a marshmallow on fire is fun, and I even enjoy eating the charcoal black outer edge.
And this is from only doing it a couple times in my life, since I grew up vegetarian, and marshmallows are gelatin based, I’ve only had them a few times as an exception, and not for many many years.
Gelatin, is an animal by-product.
I know! Which is why I have such minimal long-ago experience with them. :)
I’m a bit surprised you haven’t tried making marshmallows using agar powder or some other vegetarian substitute.
So you may be able to get traditional marshmallows at a specialty store. They were originally made from the marshmallow plant, so no animal byproducts there…
Surely they’ve invented tofu/soy versions by now?
There are veggie versions now. As a kid there were too, but they were rare, expensive, and not very good.
