   Works for other critters, too. Years ago I had an especially cranky cat. The vet feared for his life giving her a shot, so he put her back in her carrier and took her out of the exam room for a few minutes. When he came back, he looked unscathed, the cat dazed. He’d put the carrier on an office chair and given it a good long spin. Then he pulled her out and gave her the shot while she was still reeling.

   It works for giving combative cats pills, too, BTW.
