Funny how with all the dialogue, the entire tone is very much set (out of many possibilities) by Bruno’s playful smile.
I wonder if I did that to help define her character, or simply to add levity since it is a “humor” comic strip after all.

We armor our faces with humor in the hope that what we face will be no worse than funny. Sometimes it is.
Sometimes…..
Somebody a few strips ago mentioned that Bruno was speaking of serious matters with a smile, and it was hard to take her seriously. But I think that’s her default expression, a wry, ironic smile as she faces the bitter truths in her life.
