This one was one of the many reasons I loved Dr. Talle. She really empathizes with her patients. Poor Bruno.

She showed up. Dressed, reasonably clean, and self-propelled. That’s a victory right there, and the doctor knows this. Not against herself, but against the darkness afflicting Bruno’s spirit. The real enemy of both.
@Pete I didn’t think much of what she did at the time, but you’re right. Even getting out of that bed *was* a victory for what she was capable of at the time.
