I used to live a block from Da Vinci high school. I’d go there with the bicycle punks in the neighborhood, and they’d bring 40s, and we’d play kickball.

The solidity of place.
Wait… Da Vinci high school… in Davis? No, you’re talking about Portland… maybe it’s changed, Google only reveals a Da Vinci middle school in Portland. Wouldn’t be the first time; my own high school alma mater is now a middle school (in a district where we never used to have middle schools).
This only caught my attention because my daughter went to Da Vinci high school in Davis. But sadly, we are not likely talking about the same school.
Not sure if it changed, but yes, the middle school in Portland. but Davis is lovely! I’ve passed through a couple times. :)
