   Accepting and working with criticism is part of the deal of any artistic endeavor. It’s a form of coaching, except that it isn’t about your golf swing. It’s about something more personal than anything you can imagine, including your genitals. If you care about your art more than your tender widdle ego, you will take what hurts and learn why it hurts — and you will listen and you will learn, because this kind of feedback is invaluable beyond all calculation. You must grow from it. However badly at the time you think it smells.
