   It was widely believed in the ancient world that the universe was created or ordered by music. This idea also shows up in at least English Metaphysical poetry. The obvious connection is through mathematics, especially geometry.

   And who is to say that we are not part of that same isomorphism, able to perceive it in structures large and small? I think not enough is made of essential isotonic identity, really. In this and many other things.
